Scoring An “A” On The OET Writing Sub-Test

OET is one of the most preferred English language testing skills for medical professionals who wish to study further or build a career abroad. The test consists of four sections – reading, writing, listening, and speaking. In this blog, we will speak about the writing section, and how to score an “A” in the sub-test. What is the writing test? The OET writing test has case notes and a task. The task is to write a referral letter, or a letter of transfer, a letter of discharge, a letter of advice, or a letter of information for the patient or caretaker. The test also involves stimulus material like case notes and related documentation, which includes information to use in response. You will need to pick out from the case notes as per the task, and create a logical structure for your letter. The most important thing here is to make sure that the letter is written in your own words; you aren’t supposed to just copy-paste what is given to you. You will be given 45 minutes
